Printmaking
I love creating prints that are inspired by the wild creatures I have observed living in both California and the Pacific Northwest. I love taking my current animal or plant of interest and researching how it fits into and contributes to its ecosystem and try to incorporate other aspects of it’s life within the prints portrait.
"Little Brown Mytois" 2025 This print is inspired by the non-profit Bats Northwest which leads citizen science programs educating and promoting bat conservation and monitoring to better understand these little understand and critical member of ecosystems. The Little Brown Myotis is 1 of 14 species of bats found in the state of Washington, all of which eat bugs, like the mosquito depicted in my print. "Mushroom Textures" - Linocut Print - Edition of 30
"Sardine in PeliCAN" - Linocut Print - Edition of 16. Pelican's often eat sardines, thus my playful view of Pelican' eating sardines.
"Valentine's Junco" - Intaligo print - Edition of 3. Parnassius clodius on their larval food, Pacific Northwest Bleeding Hearts, and a male Dark Eyed Oregon Junco with bugs in his mouth. This print is a valentines ode to Pacific Northwest flora and fauna, with earthworm hearts overhead.
